9 Cable Distribution System
What is a 9 cable distribution system? Consequently this 9 cable system is used, to distribute satellite signal to multiple points. Most commonly this system is used in Multi Unit Dwellings (MUD). Nine cable distribution systems therefore uses, a 9 cable multiswitch reticulation system. Two different satellites can be provided for compared to the 5 cable system. This is possible due to DiSEqC technology.
What is a multiswitch?
a Multiswitch is used to connect decoders, to the 9 cable system. Therefore it enables the decoders to switch between available user bands. Decoders will only be able to switch between user bands, supported by the 9 cable system.
9 Cable Multiswitch
First of all a nine cable distribution system, makes use of 9 cables between multiswitches. Therefore this system is referred to as a 9 cable reticulation systems. Multichoice recommend a distribution system that allows for four user band. a Nine cable system is high band complaint. Therefore 9 cable systems are ready for DStv's service expansion. In addition a 9 cable system will also allow for other service providers.
